About the Speaker:
Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, PhD
Assistant Professor at Bina Nusantara University International
Dr. Qomariyah is an Assistant Professor at Bina Nusantara University International in Jakarta, Indonesia. A distinguished alumna of the University of York, UK, she earned her Ph.D. as part of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group, with a focus on preference learning using Description Logic. Her latest work centers on Explainable AI in the medical domain through a collaborative project co-funded by the Newton British Council and the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Education, involving the University of York, BINUS University, and Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital. This initiative has resulted in Scopus-indexed publications, a first-place win in the Mendix competition, and Top 20 recognition in the IMERI Open Innovation startup competition. She currently leads the SheCodes initiative at BINUS University, empowering women in STEM and digital leadership.
