The key is to convert a conventional PMO into one that prioritizes implementation, outcomes, and primarily, business value. This involves defining the responsibilities, associations, methodologies, and advantages of a business-oriented PMO. To achieve this, it is crucial to align with the organization's priorities and performance criteria, position the PMO within the business, and deliver the projected value. By doing so, the PMO can transition from being a mere monitoring office to an indispensable component of the business.
