Calendar of Events

After a long wait, 5G technology is finally on commercial service in Indonesia. Every time a new technology is coming, it will be a solution to a need that has not been done before, or become an enabler for a new solution that has not been thought of before. The presence of a new technology will also disrupt old technology, maybe even disrupt other things in different fields. By better understand and recognizing 5G, we will be able to see more opportunities for its benefit and use case. Moreover, it is still in the phase of educating the public.

Samuel Pasaribu

VP Network Service Management Area Sumatera – Telkomsel

His experience of working at Telkomsel started in project management for the development of cellular networks, especially BTS infrastructure and equipment. Then he got several assignments to lead the territory network with the responsibility to manage network operation, network quality, network performance and network rollout. The deliverable provided is to provide cellular network services with certain standards to meet the telecommunications needs of the customer and also to meet Telkomsel's business targets.

In his 24 years of career at Telkomsel, he has experience in handling 2G, 3G, 4G technology and transmission equipment and is currently developing 5G technology and some digital solution.

As a leader in the territory, he is also a role model and change agent for the transformation of Telkomsel employees from a telecommunications company to a digital company. This includes implementing new ways of working such as digital leadership, encouraging new capabilities that suit the needs of the times, studying the latest digital and cellular technology and applying design thinking in daily work.
