SYMEX (Symposium and Exhibition)
SYMEX is PMI Indonesia's premiere annual event. In this two-day conference, Project Managers and other industry professionals will exchange knowledge, create new network contacts, and receive valuable insights. SYMEX will provide professional development opportunities for project management practitioners of all skill levels.
The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for industry professionals, business owners, educators, researchers, policy-makers and graduate students with opportunity to explore and discuss issues in project management topics. International and local speaker both from practitioners and academics will share their knowledge, experience and state-of-the art of project management.
The symposium is also an opportunity for companies to meet project managers seeking career transition and matching the interests, skill, and experience to their needs. The exhibition will be the opportunity for sponsors to promote their products and services to project management practitioners.
During the event, maximize and gain benefits through:
- Networking with project management practitioners across industries. More than hundreds of practitioners regularly come to this event
- Learn from the sessions and active interactions by the distinguished speakers; domestic and international; share and exchange ideas / experience directly, that encompass both regional and global project management topics.
- Earn up to 16 professional development units (PDUs) to maintain your PMI credentials
PRANKS (Project Management Knowledge Sharing)
Formerly known as OMM (Open Membership Meeting), in 2020 we rebranded our event by changing the name and event format into a more casual setting. In PRANKS, you get to meet and greet with other project management practitioners where you can upgrade your skills, share exchange experiences and ideas.
PRANKS is held every month, with different topics from prominent speakers. These events are very popular among both members and non-members, as they can sharpen their project management knowledge through series of case study and lesson learned, while also gathering PDUs to maintain PMI credentials. Automatic PDU submission is provided exclusively for PMI Indonesia Chapter members.
Project Management Workshop (PMW)
Project Management Workshop (PMW) is an event from PMI Indonesia Chapter which aim to improve leadership skill as one of PMI Talent Triangle. By joining this event, participant will learn how to sharpen their soft skill by working together as team through games and exercises. We invite speaker and facilitator for better immersion to the topics given.

This generally means that often, there are multiple ongoing projects running concurrently – this drives a real need for strong project management. However, historically, project management frameworks have been developed for large scale projects, and while exemplary, it’s not always possible or financially viable to run small projects abiding to the same frameworks.
