READERS: Project Leader Seminar


READERS is one of the prestigious seminars aiming to gather project practitioners and enthusiasts to discuss recent project issues and is held by PMI Indonesia Chapter Bandung Branch.

This year's READERS has 2 topics for professionals and students. The professional topic is "PMO Challenge in Indonesia: How to Measure its Success” and the Student topic is “How to Kick-Start your PMO Career in your Early Working Stage”. You will get a lot of benefits, such as an e-certificate and 3 PDUs; and of course the opportunity to engage with the speakers and fellow participants.

But please be informed that if you want to attend both, you will have to register for each one.


What Benefits you can expect from the webinar?


  1. Although this webinar will be held online, this webinar still prioritizes communication so that the participants' connections with other participants can be established.
  2. Each participant will get an e-certificate and 3 PDUs
  3. This webinar will provide the information and knowledge in the Project Management Office (PMO) are, and specific to the target audience:
    1. Professsionals: "PMO Challenge in Indonesia: How to Measure its Success"
      • PMO introduction and an insight in how this could potentially be the next development stage in your career
      • Discussion on how your current project(s) may benefit from the success of the PMO
    2. Students: "How to Kick-Start your PMO Career in your Early Working Stage"
      • Basic concepts of the PMO, what skills must be prepared to be part of a PMO, and what challenges can occur in PMO
      • Go through select study cases/ real cases for student participants who are considering to join a PMO as a career starter


The Speakers

M. Athar Januar, PMP, PMI-ACP
(Project Management & PMO Consultant)

M. Athar Januar has studied computer science with Master of Science degree at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (2001-2008) and is certified Project Management Professional (PMP #1380586) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP #2757266) Since 2010 he had found his passion in project management and become a trainer. Later on, he developed his interest in agile and change management. Ever since he has been a project management trainer, consultant, agile coach, and has been gaining many experiences in building PMO, as he had been appointed multiple times as head of PMO in different companies.

As project management practitioner, he has been in charge managing projects in many clients from different industry background, such BUMN, oil and gas, telco, government, financial services, manufacturing, to tech startups. In the spare time, he enjoys reading books, helps other fellow project managers to pass PMP certification and maintains network through a number of project management communities.


Sachlani PMP, PSM I, P3OF                                                                                 
(Project Management & PMO Consultant)

Sachlani is a Project Management and PMO practitioner with 20+ years’ experience in IT project management in various sectors such as telecommunications, banking & financial services, oil & gas, manufacturing and government.  His last assignment was as Group Head of Enterprise Project Management at Astra Graphia Information Technology (AGIT) and continues to work as Project Management and PMO Consultant. 

He graduated from IPB University in 1987 and holds Project Management Professional (PMP) credential since 1998. He is also Professional Scrum Master I (PSMI) and Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices Foundation (P3OF) certified.

He has volunteered for PMI Indonesia Chapter and held a VP Membership position in 2000, board advisor for several periods and continues to serve the chapter as Education Advisor for 2020-2023 term.

In his spare time, Sachlani enjoys reading and sharing his knowledge through visual microblogs on his social media accounts
