    Dear Project Management Community,

Welcome to the 94th edition of Excellentia. I hope everyone is gearing up for a fantastic year, because we sure are! Early in the year, we had a visit from PMI Asia Pacific Chapter Development. Read what key initiatives we have in the pipeline and why. This January, the Chapter hosted its very first monthly event called PRANKS taking on the topic of “The Misunderstood Agile”.

2019 has been a transformative year for many companies to navigate through challenges in this project economy. Our main article features how project management can be used for due diligence, to enhance decision making in organizations.

Not to forget, congratulations for the newly inaugurated PMI Indonesia Chapter Board Members. Welcome to volunteers who have come onboard. We wish you a great, fulfilling volunteering experience.

On behalf of the board of editors I would like to thank the contributors of this edition and everyone who has supported in the preparation of this newsletter.

    Dear Project Management Community,

Hi everyone, I hope that you are staying home and healthy during these difficult times. In March, at the onset of the Covid-19 outbreak, the chapter managed to organize the 9th Project Management Symposium and Exhibition (Symex) in the city of Semarang. Read about how the event unrolled and what the speakers and participants had to say about the event.

During these times, most of us are working from home and staying connected with our friends, colleagues online. We feature an article on the new trends in online learning, how to complement your “micro-learning” with a “macro-learning”.

We had a chance to interview our Chapter’s General Secretary, Crysanthus Raharjo. You can get to know him in depth, what he does professionally and why he continues to volunteer for more than 7 years now.

On behalf of the board of editors I would like to thank the contributors of this 96th edition and everyone who has supported in the preparation of this newsletter. I hope you enjoy it. I would like to take the opportunity to also wish a contemplative Ramadan to our readers who are observing this holy month.

    Dear Project Management Community,

Hello! And welcome to the 97th edition of Excellentia, in the time of Covid-19. I hope that you are healthy and productive during these strange times. In this edition, we spent some time with Tony and Devi who spearheaded the Organizing Committee of Symex 2020. They shared the planning process to execution of the event, the challenges they had to overcome and also how they adapted to the circumstances around Covid-19.

Our main article is an uplifting one, that will take us to see how “things are going to be ok”. How we can preserve a level empathy in this situation, but at the same time get past the sensationalism – and continue to contribute to the workplace and the society. We also share with you an excerpt from this year’s Pulse of the Profession survey.

On behalf of the board of editors I would like to thank the contributors of this 97th edition and everyone who has supported in the preparation of this newsletter. I hope you enjoy it. I would like to take the opportunity to also wish Eid Mubarak to our readers who are celebrating.

    Dear Project Management Community,

Hi and welcome to the 98th edition of Excellentia. As more and more countries start to open, economic activities start to gain some tractions, and companies adapt to a new way of working. Our chapter started calling for nominees for the new Board of Directors 2020 – 2023. We feature an article on the importance of the succession progam, especially during this time. The chapter ran yet another online PRANKS session, about managing a business in crisis met with great enthusiasm from chapter members.

Our main article is about managing talents during the pandemic. The movement restrictions add another layer of complication. Project managers can use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to assess the behavioral, physiological well-being of their team members. We also have an article about social impact. Often, we are too busy with work that we do not pause and think about the damage and suffering around us; from bushfires to the pandemic, we should try to take part in the efforts in sustainability.

On behalf of the board of editors I would like to thank the contributors of this edition and everyone who has supported in the preparation of this newsletter. I hope you enjoy it. As we embrace the “new normal” I wish you all healthy and productive days ahead.

    Dear Project Management Community,

Hi and welcome to the 99th edition of Excellentia. The Indonesia Chapter has just completed its Board of Directors Election,in the “From Board” rubric, we introduce to you our new Chapter leadership for 2020-2023. The PMI HQ BOD Election, however, is still ongoing and if you have not yet voted, you can check out the candidates’ profiles in this edition.

Our main article is about change, and the project manager’s perspective on responding to these changes. With the project economy and the changes it brings in skills, talent acquisitions and different ways of working, project managers will need to step up their game and become a true leader. Close to the time of publishing, the chapter was saddened with the loss of our project management mentor, Pak Hari Gumuruh. We have dedicated an obituary remembering his involvement from the day of the conception of PMI Indonesia Chapter.

On behalf of the board of editors I would like to thank the contributors of this edition and everyone who has supported in the preparation of this newsletter. As we strongly advance to the second half of the year, I wish you successful days ahead in navigating through the changes and challenges in your place of work. Stay safe!
